Bake Real Sourdough at Home with Squirrelly Girl Starter
A strong beginner-friendly dehydrated sourdough starter raised inside our real working micro bakery in Princeton, British Columbia. Designed to help ordinary people bake incredible sourdough without the confusion, weak starters, or guesswork.
The Starter Behind Our Bread
Squirrelly Girl isn’t a generic internet starter. It comes directly from years of real fermentation, real baking, and real sourdough experience inside Similkameen Wild Breads.
Squirrelly Girl Has Been Used in Real Daily Baking Since 2018
Since 2018, Similkameen Wild Breads has been baking and delivering fresh sourdough throughout Princeton, British Columbia.
What started as a passion for real naturally fermented bread slowly became an obsession with mastering fermentation, starter strength, dough structure, and the craft of sourdough itself.
Squirrelly Girl was born from those years of real-world baking experience — not from a lab, factory, or trendy internet recipe.
Every loaf we baked, every starter we fed, and every customer we served helped shape the strong resilient starter culture we now share with bakers around the world.
